Hi everyone! My name is Jaimie Brady and thirteen years ago, I stood at the edge of a dream, clutching a pair of scissors and a heart full of hope. Born in Guam and raised in the Philippines, I had always been drawn to the art of haircare and beauty. It wasn’t just about cutting hair; it was about transforming lives, one strand at a time. But I knew that to truly grow, I had to step out of my comfort zone and chase my dreams in a land far from home. With courage in my heart and a suitcase filled with determination, I quit my nursing career (against my parents wishes…of course) and moved to a new land, San Diego California to be exact, leaving behind the familiar sights and sounds of the Philippines. The journey wasn’t easy. I faced challenges, cultural differences, and the daunting task of building a clientele from scratch. I started small, working long hours in a local salons, honing my craft and building relationships with my clients. My talent and dedication soon began to shine, and the word spread about the skilled Filipino hairstylist with a warm smile and a magical touch. Before long, I had a loyal following, and my dream of owning my own salon began to take shape. Years of hard work paid off when I finally opened my own hairstyling studio. It was a modest space, but it was all mine—a testament to my resilience and determination. My clients, many of whom have been with me since the beginning, celebrated my success, and my business flourished. But I didn’t stop there. I’ve always been a visionary, constantly seeking new ways to grow and innovate. Inspired by the rich traditions of Japanese wellness and the growing demand for holistic self-care, I decided to expand my business into the world of Japanese headspa. This ancient practice, which combines scalp massage, aromatherapy, and hair care, resonated deeply with me. It wasn’t just about beauty; it was about healing, relaxation, and rejuvenation, a perfect complement to my hairstyling expertise. The journey to bring the Japanese headspa to my clients was another leap of faith.
